How to Use > When you set the default account to an account of Google
My experiment shows that the following three problems occur when you set the default account to an account of Google.
  1. Groups of Google and groups of iOS seem to be not compatible with each other, so groups created on Connexions 2 are treated as contacts on Google
  2. Groups on Google are not synced to iOS, so they are not displayed in Connexions 2
  3. If you edit or delete contacts and groups just after creating them, your changes are sometimes not reflected properly
You can deal with these problems by the following ways. Note that the following ways are only examples, and the behavior mentioned above may change in the future.
  • If you do not need to use contacts and groups on Google: Use iCloud instead of Google, and set the default account to iCloud
  • If you need to use contacts and groups on Google: Use an app such as Contacts Sync For Google Gmail to sync contacts and groups with each other between Google and your iPhone, and set the default account to your iPhone
Please note that the order of groups and group icons are not taken over to the groups of the new default account you set. Please see Default Account & Source for the details of the behavior.
